Philadelphia’s Newest Professional Football Team, The Philadelphia Yellow Jackets, born in the spirit of the Frankford Yellow Jackets, announce the Inaugural Game this Saturday, March 5, 2016, 7pm at The PPL Center in Allentown against the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks, a showdown in the American Indoor Football’s KICKOFF CLASSIC.
In the honor and spirit of the very first professional football team to begin play in Philadelphia, the Frankford Yellow Jackets began play in the NFL back in 1924 and represented the community and this city for 7 years thru 1931. They won the NFL Championship back in 1926. Now, 85 Years later, The Philadelphia Yellow Jackets will begin play in the spirit and honor of the original legendary team.
The Yellow Jackets will play their home games at The Class of 23 Arena on the Campus of the University of Pennsylvania but begin play Saturday Night on the road with the top quarterback in the League, Warren Smith, former Temple Star, Daryl Robinson and a Power Ranking of #3 going into the season.
